Janie Lou Jenkins, age 56, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Thursday, March 9, 2017, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Danville, Kentucky, on May 18, 1960, to the late Jessie and Mabel Ashley Wall, she was a former Ponderosa employee and a homemaker.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: five brothers, Charles Barber, Carl Barber, Carthel Barber, Connie Barber and Carroll Barber; and two sisters, Margaret Williams and Wilma Ernest. She is survived by: her husband, Dennis Ray Jenkins; a son, Jesse Jenkins, of Cynthiana; a daughter, Mary Gamez, of Cynthiana; two brothers, Larry Dale Wall and Jerry Lynn Wall, both of Stanford; four sisters, Berdena Naylor, of Ohio, June Sims, of Lincoln County, Judy Pitman, of Nancy, and Sandy Breda, of Stanford; and two grandchildren, Carlos Gamez and Jasmine Gamez.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Flower Creek Christian Church, in Butler. Arrangements are under the direction of Ware Funeral Home.
