In 1930, Jimmie was enumerated twice, once as residing with his parents in Henry Co., Ky.; and also residing with his wife, in-laws, and infant daughter, Anna Louise, in Columbus, Indiana. They were all still in Columbus in 1940, but by 1942, he was residing with his brother, Walter, working at the American Fork & Hoe Co. He was registered for the Army draft. In April, 1942, he filed for a divorce from Mary, and this was granted July 22, 1942, in Bartholomew Co., Indiana.
