He served in the US Navy as a radio operator. This began his lifelong hobby of more than 60 years as an accomplished Ham radio operator, with call letters W0JMZ. He received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Indiana Tech, Fort Wayne, where he met and married Ada Lewerenz. Survived by wife, Ada; daughters, Suzanne (Jeffrey) Johnson and Lisa (Gene) Opatrny; sons, Scott (Deborah), Daniel (Schelley), and Kent (Ann) Hagerman; niece, Jeanne (Neil) Pilgrim; grandchildren, Allison and Ryan (Amanda) Johnson, Daniel (Zoe) Hagerman, Shannon (Jason) Milos, and Eric Hagerman, Molly and Breen Hagerman, Cassandra (Tyler) Moore and Chase (Jennifer) Hagerman, and Rebecca (Josh) Hoffman, great-grandchildren, Leila, Tyler, and Emma Milos, Floyd and Owen Johnson, Kaylynn and Gina Hagerman, and Isaiah Hoffman.Donald L. Hagerman, age 87, of Forest Lake, MN, was reunited with his Savior on February 13, 2013. His commitment to Jesus Christ, depth of knowledge, inquisitiveness, charm, and church involvement are his legacies.

Born December 5, 1925, in Keokuk, IA, to Hazel and George Hagerman, he served in the US Navy from 1943-1945 as a radio operator. This began his lifelong hobby of more than 60 years as an accomplished amateur (Ham) radio operator, with call letters WØJMZ.

He received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Indiana Tech, Fort Wayne, IN, where he also met and married his sweetheart, Ada Lewerenz. He spent his working career in the electronics and medical devices industries.

Survived by his wife, Ada; daughters, Suzanne (Jeffrey) Johnson and Lisa (Gene) Opatrny; sons, Scott (Deborah), Daniel (Schelley), and Kent (Ann) Hagerman; niece, Jeanne (Neil) Pilgrim; grandchildren, Allison and Ryan (Amanda) Johnson, Daniel (Zoe) Hagerman, Shannon (Jason) Milos, and Eric Hagerman, Molly and Breen Hagerman, Cassandra (Tyler) Moore and Chase (Jennifer) Hagerman, and Rebecca (Josh) Hoffman, great-grandchildren, Leila, Tyler, and Emma Milos, Floyd and Owen Johnson, Kaylynn and Gina Hagerman, and Isaiah Hoffman.
