Hansen, Sharon A.

Sharon A. Hansen, age 70, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Sharon was born on July 9, 1946 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Otto) Hoffman. She graduated from Appleton West High School with the class of 1964. On July 4, 1980, Sharon married Daniel R. Hansen at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1986. She was employed at various jobs over the years including The HC Prange Company, Stevensons, The Capitol Civic Center, and Associated Bank. After retirement, Sharon enjoyed playing cribbage and sheepshead, volunteering at the Manitowoc Senior Center, and going on bus trips with friends.

Survivors include Sharon's daughter-in-law, Felicia Van Houten; good family friend, Thomas Fagan; two step-daughters, Tiffany and Amber Hansen; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Jeanne Cannon; and three nieces, Amy Hoffman, Julie Hoffman, and Carrie Lotto; also other relatives and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Hansen; and her son David Hansen who passed away on February 23, 2017.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 2426 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc. Rev. Thomas Pankow will officiate with burial of both Sharon and her son David's cremated remains to take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
