78, of Oglesby, formerly
of Piety Hill, died at 7:22
a.m. Dec. 27, 2006, in his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday in Prey-Mueller
Funeral Home, Oglesby. The
Rev. Jack McConaghie of
Oglesby Union Church will officiate.
Burial will be at Oakwood
Cemetery, La Salle with military
honors by La Salle-Oglesby
Veterans Memorial Group.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m.
Friday and from 10 a.m. until
the time of services Saturday in
the funeral home. The American
Legion will meet at 6:30 p.m.
Friday.
Mr. Cudlip was born Oct. 25,
1928, in La Salle to Robert and
Henrietta (Martyn) Cudlip. He
married Sarah Watts on Aug. 8,
1953, in Tonica.
He served in the U.S. Navy
during the Korean War and
worked as a salesman for the
Hoover Co. for 20 years.
He was a member of AARP, a
life member of Oglesby
American Legion and a volunteer
for the Oglesby Little
League Parade for more than 20
years.
Survivors include his wife;
one daughter, Suzan (George)
Cullinan of Oglesby; two sons,
Stephen P. Cudlip of Oglesby
and David M. Cudlip of
Oglesby; and two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Stephen
and David Cudlip, Michael and
Patrick Cullinan and Michael and Tom Watts.
