Arthur Charles Allpass, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2017, surrounded by family.
Art was a widower of his beloved wife of 57 years, Edla Allpass.
Art is survived by this children, Brad (Lora) Allpass, Amy (Larry) Stone and Doug (Sarah) Allpass, grandchildren, Ashleigh, Ally, Jennifer (Aaron), Jamie (Nick), Matthew, Patrick and William, great-grandchildren, Aaron, Makenzie, Cannon and Dodger, nieces, Heidi (Tom) and Lisa (Dick), grandnephews, T.A. and Tyler, grandnieces, Stacey and Jillian and many friends.
His parents, Charles Jesse and Violet Ida Allpass precede Art in death.
Art was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on January 8, 1931 and served in the United States Air Force from 1951 until 1955. Art was an active member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and a long standing member of the Brotherhood of Saint Andrew. Art was a dedicated husband, father, and caring friend who would go out of his way to try and lift others spirits. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 1500 Chelwood Park Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, with Father Jim Hunter officiating. Ennichement will follow in St. Mary’s Rose Garden Columbarium. A light reception will follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Art’s honor to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.q1
