GARNETT, Mrs. Alma, of Richmond, departed this life November 26, 2007. She was preceded in death by her sons, Fred L. Garnett Jr. and Robert L. Garnett. She is survived by her husband, Fred L. Garnett Sr.; three sons, Orlando L., Andre L. and Bernard L. Garnett; one daughter, Deborah A. Garnett; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her mother, Beatrice G. Williams; three brothers, Joseph, Isiah (Louella) and Willie Williams; four sisters, Catherine Gordon, Mozelle Brown, Constella Ferguson (Willis) and Queen Green (Roland); a host of nieces and nephews; one uncle, Raymond Goode; one devoted cousin, David L. Goode; a host of other relatives and friends, one devoted friend, James Jefferson. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. Remains will lie in state Friday, 10 a.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 812 N. 25th St., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Rev. David T. Frazier officiating. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.
