Archie Joe Penfield, 59, former employee of Rose Hill Cemetery, died Thursday in his home, Northwest 57th and Walker, following a two-year illness. Death was attributed to a circulatory ailment.
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Penfield came to Oklahoma City as a child. He was a member of University Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ada E.; two sons, Archie L. and Chester Dale, both of the home; and four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Phillips, 3108 South Woodward; Mrs. Galena Roberts, 601 Southeast 11th; Mrs. Ada Forbes, Northwest 60th and Walker; and Rachel Penfield, home address. Nine grandchildren also survive.
Capitol Hill Funeral Home will announce services.
