Mrs. Arlin Adams Dies At Fairwater
Mrs. Arlin Adams, 39, died at her home in Fairwater, at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8. She had been in ill health for several months.
Mrs. Adams was born Feb. 1, 1913 in Dubuque, Iowa, where she was graduated from high school after which she did secretarial work. She met her husband, the Rev. Arlin Adams, a former Clintonville resident, when he attended Wartburg Seminary there. The family had resided in Fairwater the past six and one half years, going directly there following the Rev. Adams' discharge from the service. He had been a chaplain in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Arlin Adams; three children, Patricia, Melanie and Jackie, all at home; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John McNulty of Dubuque, Iowa.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater with the Rev. Theodore Ohlrogge, president of the American Lutheran church of Milwaukee, officiating. Burial was in Graceland cemetery Wednesday morning.
Residents of this area who were in Fairwater to attend the services included Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mantin, Mrs. Helen Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ewert, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Fritz, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Grothe and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Adams of Pella.
