He was born to Madeline Baker and the late Owen Baker II. He was the brother of Lainey Baker and the late Owen Baker III. He was raised in Michigan and in Florida, and moved to Southern California in the early 1980's to attend San Diego State University. He resided in San Diego for eleven years, and then moved to Los Angeles in 1993. In 2002, he and his partner moved to Palm Springs. He was the founder and President of Discount First Class Travel, Inc. His experience in world travel, coupled with his enthusiastic personality aided in the tremendous success of his business. His passion and love for travel and people created a client base of not only business associates, but also friends. His enormous sense of curiosity and courage, which allowed him to remain youthful throughout his life, was a gift to himself, to be present moment to moment and live life to its fullest, and his gift to the large extended family he has around the world. He lead by example, and was always in need of sharing his knowledge of the physical and metaphysical world to others. This knowledge was vast, and he was always available to help and heal with all of his being. This attribute was magnetic and drew people to him. He was a man of amazing faith. A faith that created a life of love for family and friends, compassion for those in need, and gratitude for the experience life handed him. His faith brought comfort to him, knowing all would be as it should, strength to get through the dark tunnels, always seeing the light, and perseverance to accomplish his goals, moving through obstacles with ease. He was Love and able to manifest this Love in others as his passion was contagious. Countless people felt his generosity: generosity of material and spiritual support. His life touched so many, which created a powerful ripple in the universe, touching more and more people without his direct presence. There is gratitude around the world for him being here, sadness for his passing, and joy for the light he leaves in all of our hearts and souls. There is a great void where he once stood, but also, a great comfort in the presence he now has in all of our lives. He is survived by his domestic partner, Andrew Hamling; his mother, Madeline Baker; his sister, Lainey Baker, and nephews Philippe and Marc deNeree. There was a memorial service held at Hollywood Forever.
