Rosary for George J. Benkert, 71, a violinist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra for 43 years, will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Cunningham & O'Conner Mortuary, 850 W. Washington Blvd. Requiem Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St. Gregory's Church, 9th St. and Norton Ave. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Benkert, of 1022 Victoria Ave., leaves his wife, Irma; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Bryan, Mrs. Mary Ellen MacNamee, Mrs. Shirley Almanza and Sister Irmalyn. CSC, all of Los Angeles, and 10 grandchildren.
