Born east of Waurika to William and Ellen Elizabeth (Betty) Long Phelps. She grew up and live in Waurika until 18 months before her death when she moved to Nocona to be closer to her son Charlie Brown and his wife Gwen. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Weldon Brown, son Homer Brown and daughter Mary Roy. She has one daughter living in Mt. Washington, KY. She loved her children with all her heart and they in turn loved her the same way. We will all meet again in heaven.
