ANDERSON ADA L. a 45 year resident of Newark entered into rest Sunday, April 29, 2001 at Washington Hospital. She was 79. Born September 16, 1921 in Seattle, Washington. Ada worked for the Newark Unified School District as a Secretary for 14 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her survivors include her 3 daughters, Gail Locke and her husband Harry of Fremont, Sherri Anderson of Walnut Creek, and Judith Price and her husband E.J. of Bakersfield, CA; a brother, Harry Randall of Renton, WA; 4 grandchildren, Jason and Ryan Locke, Lori Carr and Mark Denison; 7 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Rameriz, Michael and Jason Carr, David, Bekah, Bethie Jane, and Autumn Denison; and 1 great-great-grandchild; Taylor Ramirez. Ada was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Anderson, and a son, Randall Anderson. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2001 at 9:30 AM at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. Visiting hours will be from 5-8:30 PM on Wednesday evening also at Chapel of the Chimes. Chapel of the Chimes Hayward 510-471-3363 "Service of Marked Distinction".
