Irma was born April 15, 1935, in Brandenburg, KY, to the late Hillary Augusta and Mary Dorothy Fackler Hardesty. Her two sons, Gary and Terry Rhodes; four brothers: Rudolph, Aloysius, Joe Willie, and Alfie Hardesty; and two sisters: Lorena Shaw and Bernice Staples also preceded her in death.
Irma was a loving wife and mother who loved gardening and also enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She is survived by her loving husband, Griffith Rhodes; son, Mark (Regima) Rhodes of Brandenburg; daughter, Diane Reed of Huntsville, AL; sister, Doris Hobbs of Louisville, KY; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Marino Cemetery in Irvington, KY.
