Word has been received here of the death in Chicago, of Ambrose Thomas Dixon, 80.
Mr. Dixon, a member of one of Somerset county's eldest families, was a direct descendant of Ambrose Dixon, "The Fighting Quaker" who came from Northampton County, VA., to settle in the Annemessex section of Somerset in 1662.
Mr. Dixon was related to the Miles Handy, Coulbourne and Tull families of Somerset County.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Eunice Tull of Somerset County, who is sister of Mrs. S. King White of Salisbury, and a son, Ambrose Thomas Dixon Jr., of Chicago.
