The many friends in Lake Charles of Alexander Babin, one of the old residents of English Bayou, just north of the city, will be grieved to hear of the death of his wife, Mrs. Julie Babin, who died yesterday afternoon at 4:30-o'clock from the effects of a carbuncle on her spine.
Mrs. Babin had been ailing for some time but it had only been a few days since her ailment had been regarded as serious. She was 52 years old. The funeral took place at 5 o'clock this evening from the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
