Ross Nancy B. Ross, age 85, passed away peacefully at home on February 17, 2016 surrounded by her family. Nancy was born on June 28, 1930 in Chicago, IL to the late Earle and Ruth (Yount) Benson. She is also preceded in death by her brother David Gustaf Benson. Nancy is a graduate of South Shore High School in Chicago in 1948 and a 1952 graduate of Augustana College in 1952 where she majored in Journalism. In college is where she met and fell in love with her husband of 63 years, Pat Ross, who survives. Nancy will also be missed by children, Sarah Eagleson, Benson Ross and Blake (Sarah Edwards) Ross; grandchildren, James Patrick Ross, Lauren Katherine Ross, Yves Reynolds Toleno, and Elizabeth Adams Toleno; great grandchild, Hamilton Thatcher Toleno; along with brother, Stephen Earle Benson. Nancy was very active in her church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on the council, altar guild and other various committees. She was on the board of trustees for the Columbus Museum of Art, Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, Inniswood Metro Park, Columbus Cancer Clinic, Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio, Augustana College, Rock Island, IL, Franklin Garden Club and was a Cub Scout Den Master. Memorial Service for Nancy will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2001 Northwest Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43212. Pastor Steve Wachtman officiating. There will be a small reception to follow. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Moline, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to one of the many organizations Nancy was involved in or one of your choice. Arrangements by Schoedinger Northwest Chapel.
