Bell, Norman Wayne, peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Health Science Centre Norman Wayne Bell formally of Portage la Prairie passed away at the age of 49 years.

Norman was born in Portage la Prairie on November 23, 1967 to the late Jean Bell and Cyril Lavallee. He was raised and received his education at Yellowquill School and P.C.I. He later moved to Winnipeg, where he worked for many years as a labourer.

Throughout his life he loved to hunt, fish, trap, play cards, hangout with many friends he acquired throughout the years. “Big Norm” as people knew him also loved to have a good beer. Later in his life he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and the love of his life Dana (Dee) who he met in February 1999.

Predeceased by parents Cyril in 2014 and Jean in 1984 and sister Carol Dawn,

He is survived by his wife Dana (Dee), son Justin (Ashley); grandkids Justin jr., Katrina, Ariella, Persayus, Matthew jr, Chloe, son Bobby; grandkids Kayson, Zaleah, 4 step-daughters Airiel, Rachel, Robin, Raquel, brothers Mark (Imelda), James (Justine), Cyril, Sister Sonya (Laurie); several nieces and nephews, cousins, and too many friends to mention. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.


Funeral service will be held at Omega Funeral Home on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Viewing will take place prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Dakota Plains Cemetery. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
