Louis H. Hagedorn, 92, of London, Ky., passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly, London. Born on July 31, 1923 in Tell City, Ind., he was the son of the late Herman and Elizabeth Hermann Hagedorn. He lived in London for 64 years and was an entrepreneur of his own business, Cumberland Forest Products. He also was a World War II Naval Veteran and a member of Saint William Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stephen Louis Hagedorn; a grandson, Christopher Hagedorn, and nine siblings, Dorothy Hagedorn, Marcella Cobler, Lee Hagedorn, Francis Ludwig, Anna Mildred Casey, Walter Hagedorn, Ruth Weber, Cyril Hagedorn, and Dennis Hagedorn. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Goffinet Hagedorn; five children, Daniel Joseph Hagedorn, Thomas Gerard Hagedorn (Karen), Mark Warren Hagedorn (Kim), Jennifer Lynn McNew (Emory), and Jane Elizabeth Earley (Keith), all of London; two siblings, Jeanette Schaefer of Indiana and Jimmy Hagedorn of New York. The Lord blessed him with nine grandchildren, Leah Sensabaugh, Chad Hagedorn, Deanne Hagedorn, Dana Asayesh, Krista Adams, Stephen Earley, Allie Salyer, Matthew McNew and nine great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial for Louis Hagedorn was conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Saint William Catholic Church with Father Pat Stewart officiating. He was laid to rest at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park with DAV Chapter 158, Keavy, in charge of military honors. Pallbearers were his three sons, and three grandsons. The family of Louis Hagedorn received friends at Saint William Catholic Church on Monday, Oct. 12, from 6 until 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to — Saint Jude Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105, or Saint William Catholic Church, 521 W. 5th Street, London, Ky., 40741.
