CARLTON J BLASIUS, 94, passed away peacefully Monday January 4, 2016 at his home in Fort Wayne.

Born in Caro MI Carlton was a WWII Marine veteran serving from 1942 to 1946 earning the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He was a plant engineer with the Fruehauf Corporation for 35 years retiring in 1979. He was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church, Past member of American Legion, Post 47, Eagles #248, Past President of American Association of Plant Engineering. He was a lifelong and avid fisherman and hunter.

Surviving are his sons, Carlton "Chip" (Teresa) Blasius, Jr of Fort Wayne, Glen (Djuana) Blasius of Huntertown; sister, Wilma Eishenhaur of FL; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Carlton was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Ella Blasius, wife, Ann Blasius, and seven brothers and sisters.

Service is 11:00 am Saturday January 16, 2016 at Forest Park United Methodist Church 2100 Kentucky Ave with calling one hour prior. DO McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
