Mr Wright was born in Shelby County to John and Ann (Ridlen) Wright, on 23 Mar 1854, being at the time of death, seventy-nine years, ten months and thirteen days old. Virtually his entire lifetime had been devoted to farming, but, for the past several years he had lived in retirement. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill M. E. church.
He was to married Ella C. Wines in 1878 and she died 6 Oct 1921
The deceased is survived by three sons, Ernest, at whose home he died; Walter, of Waldron, and Edwin, of near Adams; two brothers, George C. Wright, of Shelbyville and Thomas Wright, of Longbeach, Calif., and several grandchildren.
