Sexton of the First Parish and of the town.
His duties have been to ring the church
bells daily, and to bury the dead.

A gravestone for Charlie was not documented
in "Epitaphs from Burial Hill," published
1892 by Bradford Kingman or in "Burial
Hill its Monuments and Gravestones,"
published 1894 by Benjamin Drew. Also,
when Burial Hill was mapped in the 1990's
by the Robinson family a gravestone was
not found.
Charlie's death record indicates that he
is buried here.
