Ora W. Cuskaden, 67, widely known Shelby county farmer and a member of the Shelby county council, died at his home in Noble township this morning at 4:30 of a coronary occlusion. He had been in failing health for a year but death was unexpected.

Mr. Cuskaden was a charter member of the Farm Bureau in Noble township and for several years served as chairman of the county Farm Bureau organization. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, the Waldron Masonic lodge, the Waldron Order of Eastern Star and the Modern Woodman lodge.

A native of Noble township, he was born on 26 Oct 1887, at the home where death occurred. His parents were John T. and Orpha (Wright) Cuskaden. On 18 Mar 1908, he was married to Dora Roberts who survives with two daughters, Clarice Cuskaden, a teacher in the Mishawaka schools, and Mrs. Maurice (Virginia) Lemasters of Waldron. Also surviving are two grandsons, Glenn and Gregg Lemasters of Waldron, and a sister, Mrs. Charity Mitchell of Waldron.

Funeral services were held at the Carmony Funeral Home in St. Paul, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev G. J. Pickett officiating. Burial, with graveside rites in charge of the Waldron Masonic lodge, were at VanPelt cemetery. Friends called at the funeral home after noon Thursday.
