Pauline Murphy Phillips, 78, widow of the late Haskell E. Phillips, of 231 Well Mtn. Road, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at her residence.

A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Paul John and Minnie Mae Lee Murphy. Mrs. Phillips retired from Dunlop and attended Sunnyside Freedom Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Norris (Mack); niece, Susan Phillips, reared in the home; brother, Albert Murphy (Carolyn); sister, Genevieve Gibby (Hoke); two grandchildren, Tony and Wendi; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Mack, Bert, John, and Leon Murphy; and sisters, Annie Bell Davis, Lizzie Mae Grant, Minnie Lee Adams, Eula Simmons, and Cleo Hayes.
