Joyce attended Weeping Willow AME Zion Church. She was a graduate of West Charlotte High School and also attended Central Piedmont Community College. She was employed at FedEx.
Joyce was always energetic and so loving. Her personality brightened up those that came in contact with her. Her love for life introduced her to many friends. Having a heart of gold allowed her the joy of love from many. Joyce loved listening to “her” oldies music and dancing.
Joyce was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Byrd (Shawn) and one nephew, D’Antonio Hamilton.
Joyce leaves to cherish her memories her beloved daughters, Sonya Byrd and Tonya Byrd, granddaughters, Ja’Nayai McMorris and Kae’len Byrd; her loving mother, Juanita Byrd; father, Felix Byrd; two sisters, Fredia Bishop and Anita Ramos, one brother, Felix Byrd; one nephew, Jay Byrd; two nieces, Keelah Phifer and Desiree Ramos; three great-nephews, DaQuan, Ke’Saun and Jaylen; one great-niece, Brailey; fiancé, Brian White; daughter in-law, Davina McAdams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
