Evelyn Hankins Cook. 86, died Monday, Jan. 19, in a nursing home in Denver, Colo, with both her daughters present.
She was born on March 15, 1917, in Nevada to Jessie (Roe) and Goldmer Hankins. She married Max Cook of Ames in 1935.
Survivors include two daughters, Doretta Philpot and Shirlene Cook, both of Denver; a brother, Donald (and Caroline) Hankins of Sun City, Ariz.; two sisters, Virginia (and Wayne) Boeten of Nevada and Vivian (and DeWayne) Wilkening of Nevada; three grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Junior Hankins and Glen Hankins.
Her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held in Denver for immediate family. Graveside services will be held in the Nevada Cemetery at a later date.
