Roy was the son of Peter Koch and Elizabeth Newman. On 08 Jul 1910 he married Edna Zangmeister and they had three children: Edna, Roy and Leon. He was a former employee of the old Axton-Fisher Tobacco Co., and at the time of his death he was a machine operator. Roy died of pulmonary carcinoma at his home, 930 Dixie Highway, at the age of 58.
