Son of Charles Roberts. Daniel was Vice President and Treasurer of the Pittsburgh Motor Company. He was born in Maryland the son of the late Judge and Mrs. Charles D. Roberts. He graduated from Georgetown University and gained fame on the varsity football and baseball teams. He then engaged in the railroad business. He came to Pittsburgh 10 years ago from Kansas. He married Ursula A. Reilly in 1914. They had a daughter, Ann. Their son Daniel Jr had died at birth the year before.
