Shirley Louise Hawthorne, 76, of Conway died Monday, July 6, 2015.
She was born September 9, 1938 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Aubrey Richardson and Gladys McDaniel Chestnut.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter Thomas Hawthorne Jr; one granddaughter, Crystal Lambert; one great-grandchild; one daughter-in-law Katherine Lambert.
Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all. Shirley was a member of Conway FWB Church.
Ms. Hawthorne is survived by one son, Aaron Lambert of Conway; two daughters, Gladys Suggs of Conway and Sharon Lambert Fenters of Hemingway; two step-sons David Hawthorne and Ronnie Hawthorne; two step-daughters, Karen Fritzgerald and Sonya Rhodes; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews that will miss her.
A special thanks to Heartland Hospice for their great care.
Funeral Services will be held 2pm Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Conway FWB Church with Rev. Jack Todd and Rev. Weldon Coats officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1pm to 2pm.
Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
