Reported age at time of death was 40 years, so if accurate, evidently born about 1813.

John H. Martin's "The Making of a Modern City: Columbus, Georgia, 1827-65," Volume II (1875), p. 70, shows on a list of deaths for 1853: N. P. FOSTER, 16 MAR 1853 (from a version of the Sexton's quarterly report - presumed to be date of burial).

Mary Jane Galer's "COLUMBUS, GA: Lists of People, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866" (2000), p. 196, shows: N. P. FOSTER died aged 40 years of pneumonia; buried 16 MAR 1853 (from "January, February, March 1853, Sexton's Report," dated 12 APR 1853).

This grave is probably not identifiably marked. Based on the burial date, it would be in either the Old Cemetery section or Section 1, unless it was subsequently moved, as the balance of the Linwood Cemetery area had not yet been opened up for burials.
