John D. Farkas, 60, of 543 N. 5th St., Allentown, died Saturday in his home. He was the husband of the late Hilda (Keglovitz) Farkas.
He was employed by Durkee Famous Foods, Bethlehem, for 30 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Peter and Lena (Druszin) Farkas.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Allentown.
Farkas was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a committeeman for Boy Scout troop 101, Allentown.
Surviving are a son, David J., of Bethlehem, and two brothers, Louis and Derso, both of Allentown.
Services at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown, will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the church. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Monday.
