Upon my arrival to Munger's original grave site it was evident that the grave had been opened. A very large and extremely heavy rock slab had been pulled off the top of the grave. I contacted Arizona Park officials and asked them if they knew who had been buried there. I was referred to a historian in Tucson. The historian told me that a long time Cochise County resident named "Grace McCool" had written an article in the Sierra Vista, Arizona News paper about Munger. Apparently Munger was a cavalry soldier, died and was then buried near Council Rocks in the Dragoon Mountains. Reportedly in the early 1960's family members decided to have his remains exhumed and buried in the St. David Cemetery.
