Frances Theresa "Fran" Park, 76, of Bowie for 42 years and previously of Morgantown, W.Va., died Oct. 26 in Annapolis after a six-year illness with Alzheimer's disease.

She was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Dunbar, Pa. She graduated from West Virginia University (medical technology) in 1954.

She was a registered medical technologist at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

She was an oil painting artist and Orchesis dance honorary (WVU). She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and the Kentucky Society of Washington, D.C. She enjoyed music, dance, golf and oil painting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Angela Veronica Padovini and Samuel Robert Bell; and grandparents, Joseph Padovini and Theresa Giobbi.

She is survived by her husband, William Henry Park, whom she married Aug. 31, 1957; two sons, William Douglas Park of Hurricane, W.Va., and David Edward Park of Bowie; one daughter, Veronica Lynn Massie of Roseland, Va.; one brother, Rev. Edward M. Bell of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; one sister, Betty Jean DeProspero of Westover, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment is private.
