Anna S. Root, age 86, of Whiting, passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 1975, at St. Catherine Hospital. Survivors: four daughters, Mrs. Elanora (Anton) Aicher of Whiting, Mrs. Audrey Kalbac, Mrs. Henrietta (Verland) Stout, Mrs. Ernestine Mitchell, all of Whiting; nieces and nephews; 88 grandchildren.
Funeral services, Thursday, Sept. 18, 2 p.m. from the Owens Funeral Home, 816 -119th St., Whiting, Rev. Robert Glass officiating. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends may call Tuesday 7 to 10 p.m., Wednesday 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
Mrs. Root was a life long resident of the Calumet Area.
