We think Loki was about 10 years old, came into our lives when he was about 4. He was a stray that would run out of the brush and bite Sam on the ankle when he walked past. After 2 weeks or so, I was introduced to Loki, when he jumped into my car, put his head on my leg, and looked at me with his big brown eyes. He was strictly Sam's dog. If there was a definition of loyalty, Loki's picture would be there too. He was always happy. His tail wagged constantly! He was bitten on the right front paw by a copperhead, rushed straight to the emergency vet, and was on a 24 hour watch after that. After that scare, life went back to normal for him, but later, the arthritis hit him hard and fast. He couldn't lift his head, or even lay down without crying in pain. Loki was Sam's best friend. He was an awesome dog. RIP Loki. You are missed.
