There is a National Society United Stated Daughters of 1812 chapter named after him based in Orange County, CA.

Served in the War of 1812. Anna Thompson Kellogg was his second wife. They were married May 4,1835. (The information was send to me by Janet Muff at [email protected] on June 6,2011 at 9:35AM.) A veteran of the War of 1812 and later, an Episcopal minister who help found St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Anaheim. Kellogg who died at 83 in 1878, is believed to be oldest veteran buried in Anaheim Cemetery. He's among only eight veterans of the War of 1812 buried in California, according to Anne Scholz, president of the National United States Daughters of 1812, based in Pacific Palisades, California.
