DeMILLE, Karen Emeline - 60, Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away April 20, 2005, at home. Born in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Josephine (Burns) Hiltz. Karen had worked as a PCW at the Grand View Manor, Berwick, until her illness. She enjoyed gardening and loved caring for her Siamese cats. Surviving are her companion, Edgar Hiltz; daughter, Lynn (Keith) DeMille-Hebb, Aylesford; sons, Robert Hiltz, Aylesford; Allan (Darlene) DeMille, Tabor, Alta.; the love of her life, grandson, Brandon Hebb, Aylesford; sisters, Dorothy Horsnell, Dempsey Corner; Margaret (Roger) Tupper, Nicholsville; brothers, David (Ann) Hiltz, Parker Road, Aylesford; Cyril (Tammy) Hiltz, Kamloops, B.C. In keeping with Karen's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Aylesford Union Cemetery with Pastor Kay Dean, D.M. officiating. A public gathering of family and friends will be held in Aylesford Fire Hall from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 23. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Grand View Manor Bus Fund.
