Albert Schultz, Jr., age 78, a Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday morning, April 4, 2017 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on August 19, 1938 in Manitowoc, son of the late Albert, Sr. and Clara (Piper) Schultz. On June 26, 1957, Albert married the love of his life, Elaine Wachowski, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2016. Albert was employed as a furniture repairman with Rahr's Furniture and Coenen Furniture until his retirement. He enjoyed watching racing, wrestling and the Packers. Albert also liked to work in the yard.
Survivors include two children and their spouses: David (Lori) Schultz Sr., Manitowoc, Karen (Greg) Henry, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Paula (Kirt) Rezek, David Schultz Jr., Jeff (Heather) Baugniet, Jennifer Baugniet, Kristin Henry (fiancé Jarid Lee), Lauren (Bryar) Haucke, Ryan Henry; six great grandchildren: Justin & Makayla Rezek, Sophia and Emmalyn Haucke, Nolan & Emma Baugniet; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Sylvia Vanne, Elaine (Jack) Peroutka, all of Manitowoc, Michael Ferris; one sister-in-law: Beatrice Schultz, Manitowoc; and one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Ruth (Don) Sleger, Two Rivers and Darlene Kalista, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
He was also preceded in death by his wife: Elaine Schultz; two children: Gary Schultz and Thomas Schultz; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Joseph (June) Schultz, Alfred (Lorraine) Schultz, Ervin Schultz; and one sister Clara Ferris; a brother-in-law: Lester Wachowski; and two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Dolores (Orlis) Larson, Helen (Elmer) Heinrichs and Eugene Kalista.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 8:30 AM until 11:15 AM.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. A reception will be held at the All-Care Family Center, across the street from the funeral home following committal prayers.
