Harry J. Badger, age 93, beloved husband for 68 years of Dorothy (nee Karpoff); loving father of Gregory (wife Kathy), Lynne Provance (husband Robert), Jeffery (wife Barbara), Denise DiLellio (husband Thomas), Joseph (wife Lori, wife Lisa, deceased) and the late Deborah; devoted grandfather of 19 and great-grandfather of 17; cherished son of the late John and Elizabeth (nee Newbert) Badger; dearest brother of the late John (wife Kelly, deceased); dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many. WWII U.S. Army Veteran.
Harry was born November 28, 1922 in Cleveland, OH and passed away April 5, 2016. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School and attended John Carroll University. Harry was a member of St. Noel Catholic Church since 1989 and was an usher and wedding coordinator. He was a Life & Health Insurance Sales Representative and also did tax prep on the side. Harry enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle, was an avid reader and loved history. He got the most enjoyment in life from his wife and family. Harry will be remembered as a loving, humorous and caring man who loved to help people, especially seniors, with their taxes and other administrative needs. He will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Harry's memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110 or St. Noel Catholic Church Choir, 35200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. Noel Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery.
