Services for Jim Alvis 74 retired farmer, were conducted Tuesday morning from the chapel of J.L.Bass Funeral Home Gordonsville, with Rev. James B. Hubbard officiating.
Interment was in Gordonsville Cemetery.
Mr. Alvis died Saturday April 19,1975 at his home in Bowlings Branch Community.
He was born Nov. 19, 1900 the son of Bill and Millie Bates Alvis .
Survivors are his wife Mrs. Myrtle Conner Alvis of Bowlings Branch; four daughters
