After her marriage she removed to Montgomery county, where she resided until about five years ago, when Col. Bowie made his home in Baltimore.
Mrs. Bowie's remains were brought to this city at noon on Monday by the Western Maryland railroad. A large number of her friends were in waiting at the station, and they accompanied the body to the old Episcopal burial ground on Mulberry street, where it was laid beside the remains of her father, Rev. Henry Edwards, conducting the funeral service.
Miss Sadie Huyett, Miss Lizzie Ragan, Mr. S.B. Loose and Dr. A.B. Mitchell sang "Nearer My God, to Thee." Judge H. Kyd Douglas, Dr. O.H.W. Ragan, Dr. Richard J. Dackett, Messrs, John D. Newcomer, Charles S. Lane, Samuel B. Loose, A.B. Almony and Edward W. Mealey were pallbearers.
