Ginger Monette Doty
Of Accoville, WV
Ginger Monette Doty, 70, of Accoville, departed this life to join her husband in their Heavenly home on April 4, 2017, at Baptist Hospital at Lexington, KY, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born October 7, 1946, at Pinnacle Hollow at McComas, a daughter of the late Carl Nubert and Magalene Taylor White.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest H. Doty, III; one brother, Jeffrey Allen White; one sister-in-law, Gail Maynard; and a special brother-in-law, Tom Doty.
Ginger was a retired school cook formerly employed with the Logan County Board of Education. She was a faithful and active member of the Accoville United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Choir and Ladies Aide and served as the Sunday School Secretary. When Man Appalachian Regional Hospital was open, Ginger was a member of the Hospital's Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and feeding everyone. Her love of children made her home a happy haven for many of her nieces and nephews including Michael Doty, Amy Doty Toler, Timmy Doty and especially Kathy Doty Bradford and Tad Doty. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Ginger will long be remembered for her quiet presence, sweet smile, and love of babies.
Those left to cherish her memory are two children, Larry Doty of Accoville and Lisa Doty Weese of Man; three grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Hayley Weese and Hope Weese, both of Man, and Brenton Doty of Accoville; two sisters, Diane Feder and Dreama White; two brothers, Carl "Buddy" White and Timothy "Tim" White; a special sister-in-law, Tonnia Doty; a special brother-in-law, Mike Doty and his wife, Tammy; several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at Accoville United Methodist Church at Accoville with Rev. Norman Harvey and Brother Kenny Bevins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
