Mrs. Vicky H. Blue, age 62, of Tennille, died Thursday morning, April 6, 2017 in an Augusta hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 10, 2017 at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Tripp Hodges and Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mrs. Blue was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Bernard Lamar Hodges and the late Mary Tanner Hodges. She was preceded in death by a brother, Beverly Hodges and sister Barbara Elton.

Mrs. Blue was a homemaker and a member of the Poplar Springs Christian Church.

Survivors include: husband, David L. Blue of Tennille; two daughters, Mary Katherine Dollar and her husband Chris of Sandersville and Necie Blue Prince and her husband Jason of Sandersville; five grandchildren, Jacey Snell, Mollie Dollar, Ellie Dollar, Dakota Prince and Cam Dollar; three brothers, Bruce Hodges and his wife Tammy of Tennille, Buddy Hodges of Tennille and Greg Hodges and his wife Geraldine of Sandersville.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
