Mr. Suettinger was born March 16, 1917 at Two Rivers, son of the late Robert G. and Clara Holler Suettinger. He attended Two Rivers Public Schools and graduated from Washington High School. He also graduated from Lawrence University. For approximately 25 years he operated Suettinger Sheet Metal, Two Rivers. He married the former Annette Lee in August, 1942 at Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on July 3, 1977. In March, 1982 he married Shirley Orvis. Mr. Suettinger was a member of Two Rivers Rotary Club of which he was past president; member of Two Rivers Elks club; past president of Sheet Metal Contractors of Wisconsin and very active in Grace Congregational Church organizations.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert L. and Sue-Jean Suettinger of Gaithersburg, Maryland and Jay and Nancy Orvis of Two Rivers; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl Ceriole of Fort Collins, Colorado and Ellen and Seppo Kivioja of Longmont, Colorado; his step-mother, Mrs. Emily Suettinger of Two Rivers; a sister, Shirley Potter of Friday Harbor, Washington and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapel, Two Rivers, 5 pm to 8 pm Tuesday and after 11 am Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Grace Congregational Church or the Heart Association.
