PRESTON, Betty May passed March 29, 2017. Betty was born, Oct. 10, 1935 in Nashville, IN, to parents Lola and George Friskey. She married Walter Preston in 1966, and moved to Redington Shores, FL. Betty was a real estate broker who bought, sold, and developed real estate. In the mid-1980s, the Prestons purchased Joyland Country Nightclub, Pinellas Park. Through the years they expanded the Joyland name to four locations, with sons, Jerry and Rick Lambert. Betty is survived by sister, Dee Dee Coppernol; brother, Bill Friskey; sons, Jerry Lambert and Rick Lambert; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lambert; grandchildren, Melody Marcotte (Greyson) and Mitchell Lambert; step-grandchildren, Rushton Baker and Compton Baker; and great-grandchild, I. Marcotte. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Preston, Oct. 30, 2010. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to MDS. Viewing will be 1 pm, until service time at 2 pm, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, 7950 131st St. N., Seminole, FL 33776.
