Agnes Thelma Remmers Marquette, 81 died in her sleep, in the early morning, at 1:11 am, Monday, March 27, 2017, after a 4 year battle with Alzheimer's. Thelma and her husband, Collins Marquette of Memphis had been married for 61 years. She was a loving mother to Tish Marquette of Memphis and Danny Marquette (Terrie) of Austin, Texas. Also, a grateful and proud grandmother to 4 grandchildren. Thelma was a member of St Francis Catholic Church. She was a graduate of St Agnes Academy. She retired from First TN Bank after many years of service. She also was a volunteer at MIFA Meals on Wheels. She loved to read and always enjoyed the morning crossword puzzle. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren whom she cherished. We the family know she is in a better place and is no longer in pain. These last 4 years have been a journey and we thank everyone for all their prayers and support. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, March 30, 2017, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at High Point Funeral Home, 3788 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday morning, March 31, 2017, 9 am, at St Francis of Assisi Church, 8151 Chimney Rock Blvd, Cordova, TN, with the Interment to immediately follow, at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN.
