"Marion Halcom, 80, retired Pulaski County farmer, died Saturday morning at his home at Nancy following a lingering illness. Born in Pulaski County Oct. 4, 1862, he was a son of the late Anderson and Mary Ann Epperson Halcom and spent his entire life in this county. He was widely known as a prosperous farmer and had many friends throughout this section of the state. He was a kind and loving husband and father, a good neighbor and a friend to all. Funeral services were conducted Sunday morning at the Piney Grove Church and interment was in the adjoining cemetery. He is survived by several children."
