Born to Frank J and Rousa (Mills) Bingham in Gibson County, Indiana, where the family lived until the 1900 U.S. Census. Her father was a locomotive fireman for the railroad, which probably took them out west. The family ended up in Kansas City, Missouri, where at 24, she is still living with her parents, per the 1920 U.S. Census. Eight years later, never married and working as a typist, her decomposed body is pulled from the Missouri River near Holmes St. The deputy coroner who signed her 1928 Death Certificate did not indicate a cause of death or give any indication how long her body had been in the river.
