Robert (Bob) J., Piskura, 57, of Gaylordsville, died May 5, 2008, quietly in his home. He was the husband of Melody M. Piskura of 31 years.
He was born Dec. 5, 1950, in Danbury, son of the late Albert J. Piskura, Sr. and Mary R. (Grgach) Piskura.

He was a 1969 graduate of Henry Abbott Regional Vocational Technical School (Machine Shop) in Danbury with and attended college.

He served four years in the Navy. His interest included gardening, fishing and watching his races.

He is survived by two sisters, Elaine K. Tilford of Brookfield and Marianne R. Istvan of New Fairfield; and a brother Albert J. Piskura, Jr. of Washington.

He also is survived by three step-children, daughter Sandra and Rodney Armstrong of Rocky Hill, daughter Roberta Bryson of Danbury, and son Frank and Tina Diaz of Washington; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a step-son, Stanley Bryson.

The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
