Walter R. Johnson

Walter R. Johnson, 66, of 2920 W. Jefferson, died Wednesday, July 3, 1985, in a Boise hospital of natural causes.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Thomas Johnson of Bingham, Neb. officiating, under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Johnson was born Dec. 4, 1918, at Lyman, Neb. He was reared and educated in Lyman, Neb. He lived there until moving to Boise in 1962. He married Geraldine Lackey on Oct. 12, 1949, at Gering, Neb. He listed in the Army in May of 1942 until September of 1945. Walter was employed by Go Lite Trailer Co.; Boise School Districts; and then by St. Luke's Regional Medical Center from 1969 until retiring in 1971.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Johnson of Boise; two daughters, Edith Johnson and Karen Manning, both of Boise; a grandson, Raymond Miner of Idaho Falls; two granddaughters, Janet Miner of Idaho Falls and Windy Lee Johnson of Boise; two sisters, Peggy Leis of Morrill, Neb., and Melba Prime of Boise; and two brothers, George Johnson of Roy, Utah, and Hershel Johnson of Gorley, Neb.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Regional Medical Center.
